OWOP -the Monday to Friday Version

Jane has proposed  'One Week One Pattern' for September. Here is my trial run.

The pattern: New Look 6843 view A.

Monday: My giraffe skirt.

Tuesday: one of the original trio.

Wednesday: red linen/cotton version.

Thursday: oops -no photo but it is another linen blend.

Friday: another original trio version with the green t-shirt.

I also wore the same skirt on Saturday with the orange t-shirt. That wasn't part of the plan, but on my way to Vancouver Island my flight out of Calgary was cancelled due to bad weather. I always carry a change of clothes in my carry-on, so orange it was.

That was fun but I may run with the Hollyburn in September, so there is something different to look at.

Jungle January, I mean, July

A dollar short and a day late, isn't that how the saying goes?

I was in no way able to participate in Jungle January, tho' I enjoyed seeing what everyone else made. But now I have a giraffe skirt!
It is my TNT skirt pattern but as I only had one yard (not meter) of fabric I had to make the waistband lining and pockets out of a different fabric, but I kept to the theme.
This is one of the many things I cut out earlier in June. I'd best get busy and work on the rest.

Three of a Kind

A few years ago I wanted some fun summer skirts so I zipped over to Fabricland and picked up these three prints, as well as the New Looks pattern.
They are all version A and were whipped up one weekend afternoon with no frills or fuss. The white skirt was made first, and the waist size was adjusted for the other two.
They orange and yellow one is especially cheery on a rainy day or when I want to be highly visible.
In this photo, both reasons are at play. It is a dull dreary day and I am going to be riding in heavy traffic. In fact, I already have my game-face on as I prepare to cycle downtown, on a route I prefer to avoid.
